Post 11: Vocabulary-learning-project

Dear All,

to continue the discussion of how to improve your vocabulary power I'd like to ask you to do the following task:

1. Choose one of the apps from the list you can access at

They include the following:

Your task will be to do the following:
1. download the app you have chosen onto your mobile
2. use it during the next week and record the following information:

a) the words you have worked with
b) what activities you have done with these words
c) how many words have you learned during the given week: we're going to check it by me asking you to complete a number of exercises

 3. Prepare this information in the form of a table
4. In class we'll discuss how to write a report about your vocabulary learning experience and prepare a draft together

Alternativerly, you can prepare your app report using infographics which you can create using Pictochart at: https://create.piktochart.com/infographic, a piece of software to create infonographic

    Hello dear friends!
    I've chosen an app that is called "Words with friends" , because it has a nice interface and seems comfortable in use . Moreover,it's a free app for IOS.In a week we shall see how it works!

    Hello everyone! I've chosen "Memrise". It has a colourful design, it is effective and really convenient to use. Also it has a game-like mode, so that using it will be a great fun!

    Dear All,

    thanks for sharing your choices with us. Now what you shold do is like this. Whenver you work on your vocabulary learning new words or trying to revise and remember the "old" ones, make a note about it which will contain the following information: 1. A list of words you have worked with 2. What exercises (activities) you have done 3. How many times you have done them 4. What results have you received 5. How useful have you found the app you have used?

Dear  All, I hope you'd find the tasks I've prepared for you for today useful as well as interesting. What I'd like to discuss with you are some useful techniques for learning new vocabulary.
